Law has always played a vital role in structuring the society all over the world. To ensure that law achieves the objectives for which it has been held in such a high esteem, the highest standard of legal education has to be maintained. Therefore, to provide quality legal education to the students of the Suburban Mumbai, who otherwise would have to go outside for 5 Year Law Degree Course after 10+2 examination and 3 Year LLB Course after graduation, Under guidance of our Chairman Shri. Madhukar Narvekar Sir, the Om Vidyalankar Shikshan Sanstha has established a Law College in the year 2009.

The Asmita Law College offers three year and five year Law Degree courses. Both the courses are in accordance with the rules of the University of Mumbai and the Bar Council of India and have separate admission criteria.

 

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE LAW COLLEGE ARE :

  • To impart comprehensive quality legal education in order to promote legal, cultural and ethical values in the students and to inculcate in them the sense of responsibility towards the achievement of the objectives enshrined in the Constitution of India.
  • To prepare the students to be humane and competent lawyers and also develop in them a sense of responsibility as law abiding
    citizens and to serve the society in the field of legal services, law reforms, policy planning and legislation etc.
  • To promote legal awareness in the society so as to make it responsive to human right values with a view to achieve greater social and economic justice.
